Getting back on my feet
So it happen just shy of 40 and ruptured my Achilles tendon. My Achilles tendon of all things! What does this mean and why did it happend to me? An injury that usually happens to men according to my surgeon. He said "you must be one powerful woman" Well yes I am one powerful woman. Basking in the joy of that comment for about 39 seconds. Then reality set in surgery in 5 days, pain, forced to slow down, relying on people, the recovery process etc. Thank God for amazing family and friends. xoxoxo
God is so Faithful because I am writing my first blog from the beach now 3.5 months later progressing and taking one day at a time. Learning how to walk again while learning HOW TO WALK AGAIN. Slowing down and taking in my surroundings. Cherishing what matters in life and spitting out the bones. STOP STRESSING!!!! That my friend is still a work in progress and progress is being made. When I finally made the decision to to trust God I had Peace In my Soul even in the midst of chaos. A complete release! And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose ( Romans 8:28)
My charge to you is to appreciate your process and journey. Your experience is just that your experience but what comes out of it is totally up to you. Choose Life! Choose Love! Choose to make a difference for someone else. The choice is yours.
I can totally relate to this post, I love “When I finally made the decision to to trust God I had Peace In my Soul even in the midst of chaos. A complete release!” Since opening my life to God I am starting to see that each challenge is a lesson that I still need to learn or a nudge from God saying slow down or not that... I am sorry about your injury, but so glad you had had an awakening from it, and are able to share this part of your journey with us, through your beautiful writing. Please keep going, you have a beautiful gift to offer:)
